Wake up, Florida!

A 25 November Tampa Bay Times headline reports,

“State regulators on Tuesday approved proposals to gut Florida’s energy-efficiency goals by more than 90 percent and to terminate solar rebate programs by the end of 2015, giving the investor-owned utilities virtually everything they wanted.”

So, rather than focus on saving energy and capturing free energy, Florida will build more power plants and continue to line the pockets of rich investors.

Meanwhile,

“Germany broke world solar power generation record in July with 5.1 TWh, leaving U.S. in dust.”

If cloudy, stormy Germany can do this, imagine what the Sunshine State could do with solar energy.
